Boat Wraps for Different Purposes: Personalization vs. Business Branding
Boats are more than just a way to get around on the water: they are an extension of your style or a powerful tool to promote your business. With a boat wrap you can completely change the look of your vessel, without the hassle and expense of permanent painting. Whether you’re looking for a bold new color or custom graphics for advertising, boat wraps offer a flexible, durable and affordable option. At Picture This Wraps and Graphics, we specialize in transforming boats along the Gulf Coast, including Louisiana and Mississippi, into real show-stoppers. Let’s take a look at the possibilities of boat wraps and how they can serve both personal and business purposes.
Why choose a Boat Wrap?
Boat wraps are gaining popularity because they provide a quick way to personalize or brand a boat. A wrap is a kind of large sticker that covers the outside of the boat, providing protection and at the same time giving it a unique look. Unlike traditional paint, wraps can be removed or replaced if your style or branding needs to change. At Picture This Wraps and Graphics, our quality wraps can withstand tough marine conditions, so they not only look great but also add a layer of protection to your boat. Whether you want to show off your style or turn your boat into a moving billboard, a boat wrap offers the ideal solution.
Personalization express your style
When it comes to personalizing a boat, nothing beats a custom wrap. Imagine turning your boat into a floating work of art with a design that reflects your personality. Some boat owners want a clean, simple color change, while others go all out with custom graphics, textures or patterns. We offer countless options, from subtle color shifts to vibrant, eye-catching graphics that will make your boat stand out on the water.
By choosing a sling that reflects your personality, you can get creative. Do you want a cool, metallic look? Or perhaps you’re interested in a design that mimics wood or camouflage for an outdoorsy feel? The possibilities are endless. With a wrap you can get the look you want without the durability of paint, and if you ever want something different, changing the wrap is much easier than repainting.
Business Branding: Turn your boat into a mobile billboard
For companies, a boat is more than just a vessel: it is an opportunity to advertise. A well-designed boat wrap can turn any boat into a mobile billboard, making your brand visible wherever you go. Imagine having your logo and contact information clearly displayed as you cruise along the Gulf Coast. It is a unique way to attract attention and reach potential customers.
Picture This Wraps and Graphics works closely with companies in Louisiana and Mississippi to create eye-catching boat wraps that align with their brand identity. Our team handles the design, installation and customization to ensure the final wrap is both impactful and durable. Whether you are a fishing charter, boating company or other maritime business, a branded boat wrap can increase your visibility and create a strong presence on the water.
Key benefits of boat wraps for businesses
Using a boat wrap for branding brings several benefits. First, it is cost-effective. Traditional advertising can be a bit expensive, especially for small businesses. A boat wrap provides a one-time investment that provides long-term visibility. Additionally, our custom maritime graphics allow you to include important details such as your website, contact number and logo so that potential customers can easily remember you.
Another advantage is that wraps are easy to maintain. Because we use high-quality, weather-resistant materials, your boat wrap will withstand salt water, sun exposure and harsh weather. This durability means you can keep your brand looking fresh and professional with minimal maintenance.
Quality Matters: Image These wraps and graphics have you covered
Choosing the right provider for your boat wrap is essential. At Picture This Wraps and Graphics we pride ourselves on offering top quality wraps designed for both aesthetics and durability. Can You Wrap a Car If You Have Dents in It?
Short answer: Yes! A vinyl wrap covers dents and scratches on your car.
However, vinyl is a thin material that will completely enclose the entire shape of your car.
This means that a car wrap will emphasize imperfections such as dents and make them more visible.
Fortunately, there are steps you can take to install new vinyl wrap for your dented car.
Read on to learn all about wrapping a dented vehicle. We explain the best solutions to repair dents before installing vinyl wrap and why a car wrap is an excellent investment.
What you need to know when wrapping a dented car
A vinyl wrap can breathe new life into the look of your car, transforming it from plain to an eye-catcher.
But it’s not always a quick, one-size-fits-all solution for all car conditions.
- If your car has small paint chips and small dents, it is possible to wrap it in vinyl.
- If your vehicle has noticeable dents, it is best to repair the damage first to ensure a pristine vinyl wrap.
A thin layer of vinyl won’t hide those dents. If you want a perfect exterior, repairing your car’s dents is a must.
How to Fix Dents Before Packing Your Car
Consider these solutions to remove dents:
Paintless dent removal
Before purchasing vinyl wrap for your dented vehicle, have the peel-free dent removal done by a professional.
- This process is a quick aesthetic solution that only takes a few minutes.
- It is ideal for dented cars without paint damage.
DIY method to repair a small car dent
You may be able to repair small dents yourself, as long as there is no paint damage.
Hairdryer method:
- Place a hairdryer about 6 inches away from the dent.
- Heat the dent for at least 30 seconds.
- Cover it with aluminum foil.
- Rub dry ice over the dent.
This simple method can make the dent pop out due to the rapid temperature change.
Plunger method:
- Wet the piston and the dent.
- Place the plunger over the dent and push and pull until the dent is secured.
Remark: Overdoing the repair can cause uneven results. When in doubt, it is best to leave this to experienced professionals.
Use dent filler if the paint is damaged
This is a more complicated process that takes longer than other DIY methods.
- Sand the damaged area and apply body filler to the dent.
- Sand over it once the filler has hardened.
- Cover with spot filler and repeat the sanding process.
- Spray with primer and paint the correct color.
Benefits of vehicle wraps
Vinyl car wraps have become a much sought-after improvement because they offer several benefits.
Easy, customizable upgrade
You can choose a design that suits your taste and preferences to refresh the look of your car. Car wraps are easy to personalize in any color or pattern.
There are unlimited options, including color-changing wraps, visually appealing graphics and finishes such as gloss and matte.
Extra layer of protection
A vinyl film protects your car’s underlying paint from harsh sun rays and minor scratches to prolong the coating and prevent fading.
Increased resale value
Many buyers prefer a car with pristine original paint. Wrapping your car will preserve its original color and make it look new when it’s time to resell your car.
Removing vinyl wrap is a quick process that uses a heat source and only takes about three hours.
Easy maintenance
Car wrapping lasts approximately five to seven years and requires simple maintenance.
Simply wash your car occasionally with soap and water to keep your vibrant wrap in excellent condition. Hand washing your car is the safest way to clean it without damaging the outer packaging.
A brushless car wash is also ideal for removing dirt and other contaminants.
You can also protect your sling to extend its life.
Cost-effective option
A vinyl film is an affordable alternative to expensive and complex custom paint jobs.

How to Repair a Damaged Car Wrap (3 Ways)
Have you noticed ugly scratches on your car wrap?
You don’t have to worry! There are excellent solutions to repair the damage and restore the flawless appearance of your car wrapping.
Keep reading to learn different ways to repair a damaged car wrap, or fleet wraps that need repairing.
1. Repair a small area
Car wrap installers have copies of design files to repair your car wrap after a car accident.
When repairing a small section, they will focus on the damaged area rather than replacing the entire panel.
Plus points
- Relatively affordable because it only covers a small area
Disadvantages
- Visibly different in color than the original car wrap, especially at the edges
- For example, if you have a green vinyl wrap, the new print will have a darker shade of green.
- Color differences will become more noticeable over time due to any fading from sun exposure and weather damage. The original cover will fade first, accentuating the stronger color of the new print.
Remark: If you choose a new company for the repair, ask the original installer for a copy of the design file.
2. Repair the entire side of the vehicle
If you want the best results, it’s a good idea to attach the entire panel.
This means that the entire vinyl wrap of the damaged part must be replaced.
Repairing an entire panel is an excellent choice, whether for minor scratches or serious damage.
Plus points
- No noticeable color differences
- No noticeable signs of repair
- Neat, seamless look
Disadvantages
- Costs more than repairing a small section because it involves reprinting and installing a car wrap for an entire panel. But – in our opinion it is worth the cost, 100% every time! You get the look that matches the rest of the wrap, which means a lot for the thousands of daily eyes on your vehicle on the road.
Steps
1. Reprint
Your car wrap installer will reprint the appropriate sections based on your original wrap design.
2. Color matching
They color correct the original design and match the existing color of your car wrapping, especially if your car wrapping has faded.
This ensures a flawless appearance with no visible signs of repair.
3. Cleaning
Professional installers will thoroughly clean the damaged area and remove the remains of the damaged packaging.
They usually use plastic blades to cut off excess packaging and apply heat to shrink it back into place.
Folds and wrinkles are also removed.
4. Applying the new wrap
Finally, your car wrap tech will install the newly printed wrap on the entire panel.
3. Use a vinyl patch
With this method, you use a sheet of original car wrap vinyl to attach the car wrap itself.
Plus points
- Easy, DIY option (can also be done professionally)
- Good for minor damage
Disadvantages
- Only works if you have a solid color cover
- NOT a seamless look – the cut edges of the vinyl patch will be a different color than the original car wrap.
- Similar to patching a small area, applying a vinyl patch will accentuate uneven colors when the original packaging begins to fade.
Steps
1. Clean the damaged area.
Soak a microfiber cloth in soapy water and clean the area thoroughly to remove dirt and debris.
2. Remove any protruding vinyl.
After removing the damaged vinyl, clean the surface and wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
3. Apply the vinyl patch carefully.
Cut out a square vinyl patch that completely covers the damaged area. Rub it in an up and down motion to ensure the vinyl sticks well.
3. Cut off excess wrap.
You can use a knife to cut off excess wrapping film. Apply just enough pressure to avoid damaging the underlying paint.
4. Seal the patch.
Keep the vinyl patch firmly in place by heating it with a hairdryer or heat gun, especially around the edges.
Final thoughts
Repairing a damaged car wrap requires expertise and meticulous workmanship.
Although you may be tempted to do it yourself, if you want perfect results without obvious signs of recovery, it is best to hire experienced professionals.

Does less tint mean I get less privacy and protection?
Lower VLT percentages (more tint) reduce heat in the vehicle and provide more privacy and UV protection.
However, a higher VLT percentage (more transparency) does not necessarily mean less protection; high-quality shades with higher VLT percentages can still provide excellent protection.
Aesthetics also play a big role in your decision-making process; a lower VLT may be best for a sleek, stylish look, but a higher VLT (more transparent) will give you better visibility.
What types of colors are found in the hue?
Window tints not only come in different percentages, but also in different colors, which can give your car a great, unique look.
The most commonly chosen color is black, which is effective against UV radiation and provides complete privacy for passengers. Blue tint also provides extra protection against harmful sun rays.
Gold tones are popular with people who want their car to stand out, while gray and anthracite tones give any car a classic touch.
Can I add tint to windows that are already tinted?
You can add tint to tinted windows with aftermarket window film. This can be applied directly over the factory window tint, providing even more UV and heat protection than the factory tint alone.
So if you live in Arizona or Texas, this extra layer of protection can be super helpful.
But when applying aftermarket window film over factory tints, it’s important to work with a professional to ensure the layers are applied correctly and don’t violate any government regulations.
In some cases, adding an aftermarket film over the factory tint can make the overall tint percentage too dark and therefore illegal. A professional installer can help you determine the ideal tint percentage while staying within legal limits.

How Hard Is It To Wrap A Car?
Wrapping your car is a powerful way to enhance your appearance on the road.
Yes – it costs less to go the DIY route and take YouTube lessons.
As a do-it-yourselfer, you can wrap your own car, as long as you have the time and patience to do it right. But even if you manage to get it looking good once it’s fully installed, it may not stay that way. There is a difference between what it looks like a week and how long the cloth lasts.
We have added in recent years National car wraps I’ve wrapped several cars – trucks, vans, commercial vehicles – and I can tell you it’s not an easy job.
Wrapping a car is extremely time consuming and demanding and requires patience, attention to detail, a steady hand and a certain level of skill.
In this article I will tell you the reasons why it is difficult to wrap a car. This information can be used to determine if you have the time and equipment necessary to wrap a car yourself.
Why is it difficult to wrap a car?
Here are some of the most important factors to consider if you go the DIY route:
Size and complexity of the vehicle
For an average car, you will need a roll of vinyl 25 feet long and 60 inches wide. It typically takes 30 to 40 hours, or about two weeks, to fully wrap a vehicle.
So if a boxy SUV or truck is already a challenge, it becomes even more difficult to wrap larger and more complex vehicles, especially those with many curves, edges, contours and other unique surface elements.
Quality of the vinyl for application
Without extensive vehicle wrapping experience, you may opt for a cheaper and cheaper type of vinyl that may not install properly. Additionally, although these types of vinyl are much cheaper, they do not last as long as the more expensive vinyls.
We always recommend the use of 3M vinyl film. The most common is 3M 1J-180.
Skill level and reliability of the installer
To become a good car installer you need years of experience. Experienced professionals like National Car Wraps, who specialize in vehicle wraps, are likely to come up with the fastest and highest quality solution than an inexperienced DIYer.
The right equipment and tools
Unlike paint and decals, the right vehicle wrapping equipment, such as razor blades, magnets, heat guns and scrapers or squeegees, can make the process easier and more efficient.
How much does it cost to wrap a car?
There is no set cost for wrapping a car, as you must consider the size of the vehicle, the quality and type of vinyl wrap used, and the complexity of the installation.
In general, a full wrap can cost between $2,500 and $5,000 or more, while a partial wrap can cost between $500 and $2,000. Costs may also vary depending on the installer’s experience and geographic location. If you opt for a full wrap by a professional, the cost can range from $2,000 to $6,000. However, this is only an approximate figure.
Need help?
So if you have the time and equipment to wrap a car yourself, congratulations and good luck!
However, if you’re looking for a long-lasting way to change the look of your vehicle, protect the original paint, and promote your business or brand, find a top-rated installer in your area to help you.

How Much Does A Van Wrap Cost In New York?
Are you considering a van wrap for your New York business but wondering how much it will cost? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.
We’ll show you the different types of van wraps and what they mean for your wallet, what to consider in terms of window stickers, maintenance and longevity, and some effective vehicle wrapping solutions that will help your brand stand out.
But let’s start with the most important thing: how much does a van wrap cost in New York? The cost of adding decals or a partial wrap to your van can be as low as $500 for printing and installation. However, depending on size and customization, a full pack can cost up to $5,000.
Let’s dig deeper into the nitty-gritty to better understand reach.
Sticker, partial wrap, full wrap – what does it all mean?
Let’s first look at the different types of van wraps. A decal is a small design or logo placed on a vehicle, while a partial decal covers part of the van with images or text.
However, installers will sometimes use these terms interchangeably as they refer to a smaller area.
A full wrap covers the entire van with a custom design, often including windows. The cost of a van wrap depends on the size and complexity of the design, as well as the type of wrap you choose.
What about Windows?
Speaking of windows, they are a crucial element to consider when it comes to van wraps. You have the option to leave them transparent or overlay them with images.
Covering your windows can create a more cohesive design. When we cover your windows, we use perforated vinyl that allows light and visibility, yet provides privacy.
Maintenance and service life
Van wraps require some maintenance to keep them looking their best. To extend the life of your wrap, avoid using high-pressure car washes or abrasives. Instead, use a mild soap and water to clean your van regularly.
Also avoid parking your van in direct sunlight for extended periods as this can cause the film to fade or peel off. With proper care, a van wrap can last three to seven years.
Why is New York more expensive to wrap a van?
Another important factor in van wrapping in New York is the higher labor costs, taxes and cost of living. These tend to make the cost of van wraps in New York higher than in other states with smaller populations and lower costs of living.
Effective vehicle wrapping solutions
National Car Wraps offers high-quality vehicle wrapping services with installation by a certified installer anywhere in the New York City area. We even have experienced graphic artists to design the perfect sling if you’re struggling with your design.
We also offer the perfect turnkey solution, with the logistics capabilities to coordinate large multi-van wrap projects across the United States.

How to Wrap a Ram 1500
Would you like to have your Ram 1500 wrapped? You’ve come to the right place! We are here to teach you how to do this like a pro. And if you’re not a do-it-yourselfer, we’re here to connect you with the pros.
Either way, car wrapping is a great way to protect your car from scratches and dents, while giving it a new look. It can sometimes be an expensive process, but in the end it is worth it. We’ll discuss the cost of wrapping a car, how to wrap a Ram 1500, and how to find the best option for your truck. Stay informed!
Why car wrapping?
Car wrapping is a process in which a thin film is applied to the exterior of a car. The film can be removed without damaging the paint, making it an excellent option for those who want to protect their vehicle’s paint. It’s also much cheaper than repainting your car and you can choose from a wide range of colors and finishes.
Cost to wrap a Ram 1500
Car wrapping costs vary depending on the size of your vehicle and the type of car wrapping you choose. On average, a partial wrap starts at $750, and a full wrap starts at $1,500 and $5,500 for wrapping a large truck like a Ram 1500. However, several factors can make this lower or higher.
For example, if you only want to add decals or a partial wrap (e.g. just the hood or doors), you can reduce the cost. On the other hand, if you want a full wrap that completely covers the vehicle, high quality vinyl and other customization such as metallic or specialty trim, your price will be higher.
Can you wrap a truck with dents or rust?
It is possible to wrap a truck with dents or rust, but this is not recommended. The film adheres less well to damaged surfaces and you may need to replace the film sooner than expected. If your truck has any dents or rust, we recommend that you repair them first before packing it up.
Because so many people use Ram 1500s as off-road and work vehicles, it’s possible that your truck has suffered some damage. To ensure that the wrap lasts the longest, you should first have small dents and rust repaired. If your vehicle is newer or in good condition, now is a great way to have it wrapped to protect it from scratches and rust!
How to wrap your truck yourself
If you are a do-it-yourselfer, we have good news for you: packing your truck yourself is quite easy! All you need is some patience, a few tools and a friend to help.
The first step is to clean the surface of your truck. This is important because any dirt or grime will prevent the wrap from adhering properly. Once the surface is clean, you can start applying the wrap.
Start at the top of the truck and work your way down. Make sure to smooth out any bubbles as you go. If you need to take a break, make sure you hold the edges of the shawl tightly so it doesn’t come off.
The best option for wrapping a truck
If you are not a do-it-yourselfer or want a professional-looking job, we recommend that you find a reputable car wrapping company. This is the best option to ensure that your truck looks great and that the wrap lasts for many years. National Car Wraps is there for all your truck wrapping needs. Get started today!

Now it’s time to start packing! If you are doing a partial wrap, start by cutting the vinyl film into strips about 6 inches wide. Start at the bottom of the truck and work your way up, overlapping each strip by about 1/2 inch. When you get to the door handles, use the knife to carefully cut around them.
For a complete wrap, start by taping the edges of the truck. Then cut the vinyl film into panels approximately 4 feet wide. Start at the bottom of the truck and work your way up, overlapping each panel by about an inch. When you get to the door handles, use the knife to carefully cut around them.
Once you have wrapped all the desired areas of your truck, use the air blower to remove any wrinkles from the vinyl film.
What is the difference between a partial and full wrap?
The main difference between a partial and full wrap is the amount of coverage they provide. A partial wrap usually covers only the lower half of the vehicle, while a full wrap covers the entire truck.
DIY vs Professional Truck Wrap Installation
Installing a truck wrap is not a difficult job, but it does require some time and patience. If you’re short on either, you may want to hire a professional to do it for you.
Pros:
– Save money
– Can be done in a day
Disadvantages:
– Time consuming
– Requires patience
If you decide to DIY, make sure you have all the necessary supplies and take your time. It’s better to get it right the first time than to have to do it again because you rushed through it.
Maintenance for your truck wrap
Once your truck wrap is installed, there are a few things you need to do to keep it looking its best.
First, wash it regularly with a solution of mild soap and water. This helps remove any dirt or grime that could damage the vinyl film.
Secondly, avoid parking in direct sunlight where possible. The heat of the sun can cause the vinyl film to warp and fade over time.
Third, don’t use harsh chemicals or cleaners on your truck wrap. This includes things like gasoline, oil, or WD-40.
By following these simple tips, you can keep your truck wrap looking great for years to come! Ready to get started? Request a free quote today!
